The book, titled "Charles II: New King, New Court - The Inside Story," delves into the details of the Queen's final months and the aftermath of her passing. Author Robert Hardman shares insights, disclosing that the new king entrusted his sister with managing the arrivals at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

According to Mr. Hardman's book, Princess Anne played an indispensable role in ensuring that each family member had the opportunity to bid their final farewells to the Queen. Her warm reception of Prince Harry included a hug, and she escorted him to the Queen's bedroom, allowing him to pay his respects to his late grandmother. Subsequently, Harry joined the family dinner downstairs, although his father and brother were absent, as the king and Queen Camilla had returned to Burk Hall, their home on the Balmoral estate.

A note written by her private secretary, Sir Edward Young, confirmed the Queen's peaceful passing at Balmoral. The exact cause of her death remains undisclosed due to her suffering from multiple conditions in 2022. Sir Edward's note, now archived, described her demise as very peaceful, slipping away in her sleep, attributed to old age, with the reassurance that she would not have been aware of anything, experiencing no pain.
