UK Press Reveals Kate Middleton Stalked Prince William as Weird Details Surface

Kate Middleton strategically positioned herself to be with William in ways that are, honestly, quite surprising. But why is this coming to light now? That's the big question. According to the UK's Daily Mail, Royal historian Robert Lacy, who is educated at Cambridge, revealed in his 2020 book that Kate employed some clever tactics to capture the heart of the future King. Lacy writes, "Kate was very strategic." She gave up her place at one of Britain's premier universities, Edinburgh, and opted for St. Andrews, the same university William was attending. But here's the kicker: St. Andrews probably didn't have the same academic standard as Edinburgh. Surprising, right?

Not only did Kate switch universities, but she also changed her course to history of art because that's what William was studying. She even delayed her own education by a year. There was a risk, though. She had already been accepted to Edinburgh and had her accommodation sorted out, but there was no guarantee she'd be accepted into St. Andrews after delaying for a year.

The historian also shared how Kate planned to dazzle William during a student charity fashion show. It's reported that William paid £200 to participate. Kate had a place at Edinburgh University in 2000 but gave it up and took a gap year, reapplying to St. Andrews for 2001 after William's place there became public knowledge.

Kate's strategic moves didn't stop there. According to Royal editor Katey Nicholl, Kate's mother, Carol Middleton, held a secret summit with William to ask whether he planned to propose to her daughter. Now, here's where it gets interesting. Kate's application to St. Andrews rose by 44%, and there was still no guarantee she'd get in after delaying for a year. Jasper Selwyn, a career adviser at Kate's former school, said Kate's firm choice was Edinburgh, and it was quite a shock when she changed her mind.

In 2007, William and Kate split amid rumors that she disapproved of his party lifestyle and his reluctance to propose. But they got back together, and according to reports, Kate gave William an ultimatum. They made a pact to marry and have children.

However, in Christmas 2009, Kate's mother reportedly took William aside to discuss a possible engagement. A friend said Carol Middleton put pressure on William to let the family know where the relationship was heading. William reassured her that the relationship was on track.

There's even a tweet discussing this that has gone viral. People are reacting to this story, and opinions are divided.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room. Is St. Andrews really less prestigious than Edinburgh? I'm not so sure about that. What do you guys think?

What I find most intriguing is not Kate's actions themselves. I mean, she was 18, 19, 20, 21—she was young and probably wanted to be a princess. A lot of people might do the same. But why is this story being brought up now, and why is it being framed in a way that makes Kate look desperate, almost stalker-ish?

I'm not blaming Kate for what she did back then. I'm more interested in why this story is being pushed now and the narrative being created around it. It seems like they're trying to make Kate look like some kind of crazy, obsessed stalker, which isn't fair.

And what about William? Why aren't we talking about his actions? It's always about Kate and what she did to "get" him, not about his behavior or decisions.
