King Charles Breathes Easier as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Extend an Olive Branch
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to be taking a step toward reconciliation with King Charles, signaling a potential end to their long-standing feud.
According to a prominent royal commentator, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now focusing on "positive things" moving forward.
Notably, the Sussexes have refrained from making any controversial statements about the royal family in 2024, which some view as a thoughtful gesture for the ailing monarch, who is battling cancer.
Hugo Vickers, a respected royal expert, shared his insights with *The Sun*, stating, "He's [Harry] the one who needs to pull himself together and extend the olive branch because he is the one making it difficult between them."
Vickers emphasized the importance of unity, adding, "The most successful members of the royal family are the ones who support the King in what he's doing, and they don't compete with him."
The commentator also highlighted Harry and Meghan's recent public appearances, noting their deliberate effort to avoid stirring up tensions with senior royals.
"They've realized that it wasn't getting anywhere because it was causing so much trouble," Vickers said, suggesting a shift in the couple's approach.
For context, Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior royals in 2020. In the years that followed, their candid interviews and Harry’s memoir *Spare* stirred controversy and deepened the rift between the Sussexes and the royal family.
This latest development, however, hints at a more peaceful chapter in their relationship with the monarchy.
