Meghan Markle Faces New Setback Ahead of Netflix Cooking Show Premiere
Meghan Markle has faced a fresh setback just days before the debut of her highly anticipated Netflix cooking show, *With Love, Meghan*.
For those not yet familiar, the Duchess of Sussex made her return to Instagram at the start of 2025. In a post that quickly grabbed attention, the former *Suits* actress shared the first trailer for her headline-making show, sparking a flurry of excitement online.
Along with the trailer, Meghan wrote: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun! As ever, Meghan.”
The show, set to launch on January 15 on Netflix, has generated significant buzz, but it hasn't been met with universal praise. Some royal experts have expressed disappointment, particularly regarding the production's approach to authenticity.
Royal commentator Bronte Coy shared her thoughts with *The Sun*, revealing that the Duchess' upcoming project had already "disappointed" her.
She explained: “The fact it’s not filmed in their house disappointed me because I think one of their major issues, reputationally, Harry and Meghan—particularly Meghan—has always been authenticity.”
Coy continued, “I mean, the Kardashians film in different houses, so that’s commonplace, but the issue here is authenticity. I think that’s an unfortunate choice for them.”
This latest criticism follows a pattern of mixed reactions to the couple’s various projects since stepping down from royal duties, raising questions about how their brand is being received by audiences.
