How Meghan Markle’s Store Is Boosting Sales for Featured Brands

Meghan Markle's touch has proven to be invaluable for brands as her fashion influence is continually expanding. The Duchess of Sussex is said to be a major contributor in the retail market, with her clothing and accessories from her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, selling out by the minute, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Currently, Markle is creating a further marketing impact with the opening of her ShopMy storefront where shoppers can purchase her selected items. Her Show featured brands like J.Crew, Jenni Kayne, Sézane, and Ulla Johnson, with tremendous sales growth now. Bleusalt’s CEO, Lyndie Benson, disclosed that 300 T-shirts were sold in a day after Markle was seen sporting one on the show.

“She is in a league of her own,” Benson exclaimed. Markel’s rapid sales seem to be contagious, as La Ligne's CEO Molly Howard claimed 500 pairs of jeans Markle wore sold out in about two weeks. Multiple sizes of a $40 pair of Crocs she wore while feeding chickens sold out almost immediately.

Even if some refuse to see the reasoning behind Markle’s new business venture, calling it “crass” for simplicity’s sake, the consumer impact shows a different reality.

“Some would claim, ‘Meghan just never gets it right’ and yet, she still gets sales for the sweaters,” smirked Alexandra McCormick, director of the beauty brand.

Markle made her storefront on the ShopMy website official on Monday. Her storefront includes selected clothing items such as coats, jewelry, and beauty products.

A disclaimer on the page states, “some items may have commissionable urls.”
