Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have signed a new agreement with Netflix — but it’s not as big as their original deal.
According to crisis management expert Mark Borkowski, Netflix has cleverly adjusted its approach to the couple. He told the Mirror that the streaming giant has essentially “pivoted away” from giving the Duke and Duchess massive budgets like before. Instead, they’ve been offered something more modest.
Borkowski explained that this isn’t a slow separation — it’s a clear downgrade. Netflix, he said, doesn’t want to spend huge amounts on projects that don’t deliver the results they expected. Now, instead of a massive lump sum deal (reportedly around $100 million in the past), it’s likely a “pay as you go” arrangement, where Netflix chooses which projects to fund and how much to invest.
In simple terms — Harry and Meghan are still working with Netflix, but on a smaller scale, with tighter budgets, and only if the projects look promising to the company.
