Meghan Markle offered fans a peek into the holiday she spent with Prince Harry and their children. On Sunday, April 5, the couple celebrated Easter with six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet. Meghan, 44, shared several charming clips on Instagram highlighting the day’s festivities.
One video showed the children running together across the grass with Easter baskets in hand, hunting for hidden eggs. Princess Lilibet added to the festive spirit with a cute pair of bunny ears. Another clip captured the siblings walking along a stone garden pathway, baskets filled with treats and small trinkets, while a family dog happily followed along.
In a particularly sweet moment, Lilibet, wearing a pink floral dress, walked barefoot on the lawn carrying two stuffed animals. Her red hair glistened in the sunlight as birds chirped in the background, creating a serene springtime scene. Archie, meanwhile, displayed his creativity using a spinning device called “The Dinomazing Egg Decorator” to add colorful stripes to his Easter eggs.
Meghan also shared lighter moments from the day, including clips of the family’s chickens enjoying fresh lettuce as an Easter treat. The Duchess simply captioned her post, “Happy Easter!”
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry, 41, and Meghan have been living in California, where they’ve raised their children largely away from public attention. Earlier this year, in April 2025, Meghan shared another Instagram video capturing a surprise visit from a mother duck and her ducklings at their home, adding, “Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love… and surprises!” The clip, filmed on the driveway, was set to Louis Jordan’s classic, Choo Choo Ch’Boogie.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, the Royal Family observed Easter with their traditional service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Meghan, despite her royal wedding at the same chapel in May 2018, has never joined the family’s annual Easter church gathering.
In 2018, Easter occurred just weeks before Harry and Meghan’s wedding, and they chose not to attend the service led by Queen Elizabeth, which included Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and other royals. The following year, Meghan also missed the celebration due to her pregnancy with Prince Archie, who was born on May 6. Prince Harry, however, attended the service alone near Frogmore Cottage, where the couple was residing at the time.
