As pointed out by several media, including "People", the announcement of the Sussexes, made on Valentine's Day, seems to be a new tribute to Princess Diana. According to a press archive available here, Buckingham Palace announced on February 13, 1984 the second pregnancy of the wife of Prince Charles, then pregnant with Harry. The next day, Valentine's Day, many British newspapers had devoted their front pages to the happy event. For example, the "Daily Express" had taken a photo of Lady Di taken two days earlier during an official trip to Norway. "Valentine's Day of happiness for Charles and Diana - the smile that says it all," the publication had headlined. The front page is available at this link.

Little Archie, who will celebrate his second birthday in May, will soon have a little brother or a little sister. The children will have roughly the same age gap as their father Harry and their uncle William, born in September 1984 and June 1982 respectively. A similar gap can also be seen among the two oldest Cambridge children, Prince George (born in July 2013) and Princess Charlotte (born May 2015).
