The reason Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump are no longer friends
The first-born of Hillary and Bill assured that she does not want to speak to someone who is an accessory to the cruelty and incompetence of the current US administration.
Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump were friends for years, and when Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were running for president of the United States in 2016, they promised to remain friends. However, the promise was not kept and they have already completed four years of not speaking.
Bill Clinton's daughter explained the reason why she no longer wanted to remain friends with the adviser to the now president of the United States.
"I have not spoken to her since 2016 and I have no interest in being friends with someone who is not only an accomplice, but is actively involved in the daily collision of cruelty and incompetence of this administration. That is the answer," Chelsea explained in the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen program.
It is not known exactly when they met or the year in which their friendship began, but in 2014 it was said that they had gone out to dinner with their respective husbands, Jared Kushner and Marc Mezvinsky, although there was no photograph to prove this rumor.
Later, that same year, they attended together a Glamor magazine awards ceremony; their presence at the event left no room for doubt, they were friends. The last time they were captured together was in 2018, during the funeral of George H.W. Bush, but things seem to have deteriorated rapidly between them.
"We were in contact at the beginning of the (2016 presidential) campaign. But it is really difficult when there is someone who actively embraces their candidate, whether it is his father or not, who traffics in racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia and conspiracy theories and lies and is fundamentally corrupt, "Chelsea added.
