The Duchess of Sussex, wife of Prince Harry, recently introduced a Mother’s Day collection featuring two scented candles priced at around £47 each. The product names were said to be inspired by the birthdates of her children, Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex, marking the first time her brand has directly referenced them in this way.
According to reports, a palace insider criticized the move, calling it an “outrageous use” of the children’s royal titles, suggesting it has added to ongoing sensitivities surrounding royal branding and public representation.
However, a source close to Meghan offered a different perspective, stating that the approach was considered tasteful and had the support of Prince Harry. They emphasized that the collection was designed with personal meaning, reflecting family memories and moments.
The promotion of the collection was also supported through curated influencer gift boxes, which included candles, chocolates, and handwritten notes sharing personal reflections tied to family life.
